Are you interested in smart co-creation using Delft3D FM? And interested in learning more about our software development process? During this break-out session, you will gain more insight in the source code and learn how you could contribute to code development and bug-fixing.

After a concise presentation about the (Delft3D FM) development process, you will familiarize yourself with a code development environment (Visual Studio) and perform some hands-on exercises to get your first D-Flow FM coding experience. After this session, you will be able to debug the Fortran/C code and to make some small code adjustments.

Although this session will focus on the D-Flow FM module of the Delft3D FM Suite, it contains a lot of aspects relevant for any modeller or software developer interested in Fortran/C code development.

Please bring your own laptop and mouse to this break-out session.

The instructors of this session are Alja Vrieling (VORtech BV, Netherlands) & Harmen Wierenga and Jan Noort (Deltares, Netherlands).

This break-out session is part of the Delft3D User Days - Day 1 on Monday, 13 November 2023.
