Registration is closed

Online Course

The Delft-FEWS community selected the three modules for this Delft-FEWS Advanced Course during the second online session of the Delft-FEWS User Days on 11 November 2021.

The three topics that will be covered in the Advanced Course are:

  • Computational Framework. In 2021 a new Delft-FEWS scenario analysis mode is developed, named the computational framework. With these developments, Delft-FEWS can run in non-operational modes, it can run tasks such as batch running, and the comparison of model runs is supported. One of the key concepts is the Delft-FEWS standalone links to the archive in the similar way as the OC connects to the database.
  • Parallel workflows and Module run times: With FEWS systems running models for multiple basins and ensembles functionality is developed to split workflows in parallel sequences on one or multiple servers. Progress of monitoring the progress of parallel en non-parallelworkflows is included in new functionality of Delft-FEWS 2021.02.
  • Transformations. Recent FEWS releases contain new transformations. An overview of these transformations will be provided with exercises covering the Prominence Peaks functionality for selecting historic peak events.
