This course is part of Day 4 of the first Deltares Hydrology Software Suite – International User Days from 28 November - 1 December 2023.

MODFLOW 6 course

Join us for a learning opportunity as the USGS and Deltares collaborate to offer an insightful course.

The purpose of this 1-day course is to teach participants how to use the new parallel capabilities in MODFLOW 6. The course will provide an overview of the MODFLOW 6 program, the Python tools available for pre- and post-processing simulations, and the concepts for parallel computing with MODFLOW 6. The course will include several hands-on exercises that progress from serial simulations on your own laptop to parallel simulations on computational servers.

Participants should have a working knowledge of Python, familiarity with groundwater modeling (preferably MODFLOW), and be comfortable working with command-line environments.
