This 3,5 hour online course, free of charge, gives a sneak peek* of the new Delft3D FM Suite 1D2D and prepares professionals on how to use the simulation software for building hydrodynamic models for fluvial flood modelling. Participants will learn how to build 1D river with 2D hinterland using the D-Flow FM module of the Delft3D FM Suite 1D2D.
The course includes hands-on exercises to allow users to get experience with building an actual 1D2D hydrodynamic river model via the following topics:
- Introduction to Delft3D FM 1D2D
- Introduction to 1D modelling
- Build 1D river model from scratch
- Introduction to 2D modelling
- Create 2D flexible mesh
- Generate 1D2D links
- Run model
- Analyse results with side view, time plots and map view.
