This 3,5 hour online course, free of charge, gives a sneak peek* of building a urban model in the new Delft3D FM Suite 1D2D and is intended for our partners who have experience of the SOBEK-Urban modelling suite. 

You will learn how to create an integrated urban drainage model within Delft3D FM Suite 1D2D and how to combine an urban drainage model with a fluvial model. It covers the following topics:

  • 1D model from scratch using pipes, manholes and structures
  • 1D urban model using the SOBEK importer
  • Adding a Rainfall Runoff model (RR)
  • Adding a 2D grid 
  • Connecting a fluvial model

At the end of the course you should have a solid foundation in the principle features and capabilities of the new Delft3D FM Suite 1D2D for urban modelling.
