The Probabilistic Toolkit is an application, by which the influence of uncertainties of a geotechnical or hydrological model can be determined. The Probabilistic Toolkit performs a sensitivity or a reliability analysis.
In the real-world complex models with many uncertainties are used. In this course we will learn how to connect these models to the Probabilistic Toolkit. As an example, we use D-Stability, but the learned techniques are applicable to every model. External data sources are often used as input for the Probabilistic Toolkit. In this course we learn how to connect them. Finally, we learn to build an automated process to perform a big number of calculations in batch.
Subjects
- Connect a Deltares model to the Probabilistic Toolkit (D-Stability as example)
- Connect the Probabilistic Toolkit to external data sources using Python
- Control the Probabilistic Toolkit in batch by using Python
Required prior knowledge
- Basic understanding of probabilistics
- Basic knowledge of Python
- Some experience with the Probabilistic Toolkit
