The topic of this event is Coastal Morphodynamics. It is our joint XBeach User Day and Delft3D User Day (Day 3b).
Users and developers will show the latest in process-based (based on physical principles) modelling, simulating the 2D-horizontal nearshore hydrodynamics of waves on the time scale of wave-groups, including surfbeat (long waves, infragravity waves) and wave-induced currents in combination with non-cohesive sediment transports, avalanching of dune fronts and morphological change on the time scale of storm events.
Our software developers and alpha / beta testers will also show research results of 3D hydromorphodynamic modelling using the Delft3D FM Suite.

4-day Delft3D - User Days 2019
The Delft3D - User Days during the Delft Software Days (DSD-INT 2019) provide a unique venue for all Delft3D Flexible Mesh (Delft3D FM), Delft3D 4 and SOBEK users and developers worldwide to present the latest Delft3D applications, new scientific insights in modelling, the open source developments and our latest services, such as Compute as a Service (CaaS), Model as a Service (MaaS) and Data as a Service (DaaS).
From 2013 – 2019, several Delft3D beta testers worldwide have carried out practical applications and benchmark studies with the Delft3D FM Suite, including hydrodynamics (1D-2D-3D), waves, morphology, water quality, ecology, hydrology and real time control, using the modules D-Flow Flexible Mesh, D-Waves, D-Morphology, D-Water Quality, D-Hydrology and D-Real Time Control, respectively. The results on coastal, estuarine, river, rural and urban applications will be demonstrated during the Delft3D User Days 2019.
